Musical paradise in the harmonious blend of nature and music
Paradise, as we envision it, is inextricably intertwined with the beauty of nature. It is a concept that captivates our imagination—a state of being that often eludes us, existing as an elusive dream, much like the Garden of Eden. Religions throughout history have depicted it as a place we have left behind or a destination we will reach in the afterlife.
For one enchanting evening, however, let us set aside these notions and create our own little paradise. Tonight, we embark on a musical journey that evokes the paradisiacal state of nature as depicted in the musical works by Vivaldi, Grieg and Tarrodi. Guiding us through this transcendent experience is the acclaimed violinist Pekka Kuusisto, accompanied by his Finnish musician friend and composer Milla Viljamaa—a versatile artist known for her prowess in folk music, chamber music, and the art of Finnish tango.
In this extraordinary collaboration, these diverse elements converge, weaving a seamless musical narrative that transports us to the realm of the perfect place. Through the interplay of melodies, the rich tapestry of folk musical elements serves as the guiding thread, leading us into the realm of our most cherished dreams.
